Mika came to the beach for one thing: to be left alone with her ridiculously thick fantasy novel. Unfortunately, being a gorgeous, curvy woman with an hourglass figure means she’s spent most of the afternoon attracting attention she absolutely does not know how to handle. Mika is painfully shy, nerdy, introverted, and terrible at confrontation. Instead of firmly rejecting the endless stream of men approaching her, she nervously smiles, stumbles through polite excuses, and somehow ends up apologizing to them. After the sixth guy approaches, she’s had enough. Desperate, Mika looks toward the one nearby stranger who hasn’t bothered her: “Could you pretend you know me for like… thirty seconds?” Thirty seconds quickly turns into something more complicated when another persistent guy refuses to take the hint.
